Temporary Communications/Project Assistant Position Now Open for Applications
SaskGalleries is seeking an individual for the exciting temporary youth position of Communications/Project Assistant, as part of the Canada Summer Jobs program. Reporting to the Executive Director and Coordinator, the successful applicant will assist with communications, marketing and advertising, as well as administration for the upcoming 10th edition of the Art Now Fine Art Fair.
General duties will include, but are not limited to:
Social media: creating a social media plan based on previous years, planning posts, creating professional content, including reels, and scheduling/posting content.
Website: Updating and adding content to artnow.ca.
Proofreading and editing content and materials as required.
Gathering and organizing information for promotional materials.
Communicating and follow up with exhibitors, sponsors, and vendors, as required.
Other duties as required.
Desired skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including writing and editing
Experienced with social media platforms and related programs (e.g. Canva, Later)
Be extremely detail-oriented and maintain high standards
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Be proactive and self-motivated
Able to solve problems using critical thinking and asking for assistance
Able to follow instructions and work independently
SaskGalleries is a not-for-profit association representing established and emerging commercial art galleries within the province. Therefore, this position provides insight and experience in communications and marketing as well as event management within the fine art industry.
